That's an upscale version. Here is an earlier one with fixed sights and the pull pin cylinder instead of the swing out cylinder.

I was given a 1957 622 with a 6" barrel a while back. It's the basic pull-pin cylinder model. Built like a tank- but the grip is really too small for me. I wonder if the trigger guards are swappable- the one with the web to relocate your grip looks like it might help.

It may seem unlikely, but H&R kept several parts compatible across several model changes so this swap may actually work. I have not researched the parts differences between the 999 sportsman and the 622 but both were available at the same time. I would look for a 999 "parts" gun and try it! Let us know if this works.
