I'm not what one would call a 'lifetime trapper'. I was trapping and selling muskrats for 85 cents when I was 12 years old, trapped varmints as necessary throughout the years, got into trapping for income after my first retirement in 2009, and do some nuisance removal if asked. Got back in bigger than I really intended working for the local water conservation district removing beavers that were damaging flood control structures. Not necessarily efficient in either time or $$ invested.
