I usually run 45 Colt in the 454/45
480R bottom.

I had one once in 44 Magnum.
Ended up being more of a novelty item to me so ….. down the road it went.

I had all 3 cartridges before I left Alaska for Idaho. Sold all three when I left. Since I'm back I have a 44 mag and a 454. Decided I can get by with one at my age. So I'll keep the 454 and sell the 44. Before I left I knew 2 guys that killed bears with their Alaskans. These days I don't use 454 ammo, am happy with a hot 45 Colt load. In my opinion they have 2 things going for them, they are easy to shoot and are more accurate than they have a right to be.
