You never know who you know(or who knows you)

Not people who knew me but something similar (and weird!). I had a '67, bronze Chevy Impala while in SoCal. It had Lakewood High School, Long Beach City College, & Cal State Long Beach (NOT the newer CSULB sticker). It caught fire one night and burned up. The first time I moved to...

    Sick of Bias NEWS CRAP!

But, with that power comes a responsibility! THAT is where everybody seems to fail! "Don't believe a thing they SAY, but watch what they DO. And as a good friend and economist tells me, 'follow the money, and you'll find the truth'." You know Bob Woodward????? I think the shift to radically...

You never know who you know(or who knows you)

I was at a Climate Change summit meeting for the Inter-Mountain Region (area between the Rockies and the Cascades). It was a meeting of scientist/managers from the PNW. I was sorta a sarcastic SOB as usual and the moderator was a friend of mine. I had said earlier that I didn't need another...

VERY true. I am fortunate to have a scientific analysis background. It helps sift through the smoke...

Darwin is impersonal!! They won the luck of the draw THIS TIME!!! The more you understand how evolution works, the more you realize there MUST be an Almighty behind it, guiding it along!!

    Book Recommendations

I am re-reading the "Joe Pickett" series by C. J. Box. He's a Wyoming Game Warden. If you are familiar with Los Angeles, Michael Connelly series about Harry Bosch is good. He also wrote the Lincoln Lawyer, and others. Tony Hillerman writes mysteries on the Navajo Rez.

The benefits of a college education

I expect that depends on the field. My wife has a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership (She was 1/2way to her MBA when I transferred) from a prestigious SoCal school (Chapman College) and a BA cum laude from Cal State Fullerton in English. She became an Escrow Officer here in...

The benefits of a college education

I should note that, prior to returning to college in my 40's, getting my BS and MS and hiring on with the Feds for20+ years, I was in a private sector position that, in many states, required a law degree and license to practice. I started one step up from the bottom and worked my way up to...
