I've been handgun shooting for 56 years. I bought an IWI Masada Slim last fall. After testing, it's become my daily carry. Two months ago, I bought a Masada Tactical for its 17rd capacity. Both have green dots and are superbly made, well-balanced, and accurate, plus noticeably lighter than my CZ 75B and compacts that I've carried for 20+ years.

The only addition I made to both was applying Talon Pro grip texture.

I also have an IWI Zion AR15 that's well-made. IWI makes outstanding guns with excellent value for the money.

Which begs the question, how did Strom Troopers keep their armor and guns clean? It's a dirty world out there.

If you actually carry/use the LITE with the holey barrel shroud in the field, you will discover all sorts of places dirt/dust can accumulate.

I'm 79 myself and it's amazing how much strength you lose with age. When it comes to handguns I still have to have decent weight to be able to shoot well. As a previous poster said, there is weight and then there is balance. I like some weight to be able to hold steady and shoot well and in the past lot's of forward weight was great. These days I don't need quite so much. Below is one of my favorites now.

While I certainly see the problem with a very light gun shooting a larger caliber, but we're talking about a .22LR . Now I happen to think the 22/45 light is cool looking ( Yes, I have weird taste). the fact is the OP ( Welcome from NJ, BTW) mentioned hand and strength problems. That being said, why deal with 1.5 to over 2 lbs when the LCP II is around 11 ounces ( assuming the OP is NOT a competition shooter)?

I'm not talking about recoil moderation. Most folks will say that a 'muzzle light' pistol is hard to hold steady. My comments are based on comparison of a 5.5" 'bull' barrel vs the 4" LITE version unsupported and the results are noticeable. I can't say the mechanical accuracy of the LITE is lacking but the 'shootibility' is. IMHO

I started using heavier guns. Started shooting more. Started exercising more.
Strength, lost to "old age", can be regained enough to enjoy similar activities once again.
When the doctor sends a patient to physical therapy it is to strengthen weak parts and, usually, less used parts.
Old people are in the fight for their lives. Don't forget that. Fight Hard!

I have the same issue. I bought a Mk IV 75th anniversary edition. It has the same barrel taper as the 6" Standard (but 6 7/8") with adjustable sights….perfect weight and balance for me at 35 ounces. Functions perfectly zero malfunctions with Blazer 40 grain and CCI Standard Velocity.

FYI ( @KIR as well ) - not sure if it's been discussed much here on the forum, but the Masada 17-rd mags apparently work fine in the Ruger 9mm PCC, using the SR magwell. Another possible pistol/carbine combination for folks who like that kind of thing!
