Ugh, "anybody got a Tylenol, and I need a nap."
As hard as that fight was it still looked like they weren't actually trying to kill
each other. Do they usually quit when one gives up? Say a week or two later
is there a rematch or are they just done.

Definitely a long & harder fight then many would see. Both bears looked to be a close match,, but the "older" more experienced bear won.
What's amazing is how tough they are, and how easily they can destroy other animals,, yet,, when against another bear,, the injuries are less lethal or destructive.
Once a bear wins,, and the other one submits,, normally there won't be a rematch,, that year. Let a year or two pass, and the older one MAY become less combative,, while the younger one grows a bit stronger & more capable of winning the fight.

I watch the Brooks Falls Brown Bears online once the salmon start to run. Occasionally there is a confrontation between two of them but it never lasts that long. Incredible to have that much strength and stamina.

The bite that old boy out on the younger bears back was awful. You could hear it tearing

Wow. When I was captain on a salmon processor I saw a few bears get into it, but usually only lasted for a minute or less. That was amazing.
If you were on a salmon processor you had just what the bears wanted. If there is enough to eat they will grumble a little bit and make more room at the table so to speak. Breeding is probably a different matter. I wonder if they have a gender identity crisis? (Couldn't resist)

That was really something. Mother Natures top of the line Predators Animals . Doing just what they were put on this earth for. The whole thing sorta scared me. All that raw powder, from two equal opponents, ready to give there all for the right to breed and pass on there bloodline and genes. That kind of Country is hard and brutal as it is suppose to be. I am glad I got to see it for real in all its unapologetic purity one more time I just got old and I don`t have any business at all in Bear Country and more. I never killed a Bear, when I was young, and now that I am old. I am glad that I didn`t. But that sure was one breath taking performance. But isn`t it great to know that there are still some large Honest To God, truly wild untamed places left in Our Country.
I got to see some Wild Country a few times.

That was impressive to watch, sorta like Sumo with claws and teeth.
Interesting to see them take little breaks then go back at it.
They both just looked too tired to really want to go any more.
