So, I'm planning on getting a Marlin 1894 in .38/.357. Model 70410, for those who want to look.

My eyes don't see those kind of factory sights very well anymore, so I'll be putting a Williams peep sight on it. The question is: Which one? They have two that should fit, either the FP-Marlin 336 or the Ace in the Hole-Marlin 336. Both are available with replacement fiber optic front sights. One screws on to the top of the receiver, one to the left side.

For anyone that has these, how well to they work for you? I have one of the FP sights on a different rifle, and it works well, but I've never seen one of the Ace in the Hole versions.

Thanks in advance

A while back, I had the same thought about my 336 in .30-30.

HERE is the thread.

I went with the Williams WGRS set, but with my handloads, I needed to go with a taller front sight.

I haven't gotten it fine-tuned and sighted in yet, but I do like them.
