I have a 1955 Marlin 39a that has the scope mount holes in the barrel. There are no scope mount holes in the receiver. My mother bought this rifle from Sears in 1955/56; a Christmas gift for my father. I have never found a Weaver N mount.

For me, Locust Fork and GB were the answer to shipping issues. I prefer to sell through a local forum and FTF, but that is limited exposure to buyers as compared to GB.

I spent 2 years in Iowa City(1971-73) in college. I enjoyed the time there and the people. But I never considered living there, although one lady was a factor briefly. I was always glad to see the pine trees when I got back South.

I have carried & shot my S&W 63 more than any other handgun I own. If I wear it out, I have a Model 34 to take its place. Hopefully, my 3 year old granddaughter will one day own both.
