    Watch out for the pigs

That Chiappa 1892 is a beautiful firearm. You hit the wood lottery on that one.

    Concealed Carry

You know, you can still purchase a brand new 1903 from Colt. I've never seen them advertised, but when I visited the Colt plant I saw one in the Custom Shop and the person who was showing me around told me that yes, they are still available. Colt subcontracts with an outside machine shop for...

Sometimes I am not the sharpest tack. 257 Roberts

Beautiful, and a great provenance to go with it. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes I am not the sharpest tack. 257 Roberts

Not a Ruger, but I have a Kimber in .257 Roberts that is more accurate than any lightweight hunting rifle has a right to be. I'll never sell it.

Ruger No. 1 in 257 Weatherby Magnum

I have one and it is accurate.

    Dead and Dying Cartridges...

I'll have to pick up a copy to see what else is on the list. One of the cartridges that some folks think is dying is the 7mm Weatherby (it even says so in one of my reloading manuals). I love the 7mm Weatherby and consider it to be superior to the 7mm Remington Magnum because of its longer...

SOLD Ruger #1 red pad in 223..

From the photos, it appears to be a 1B. Not a V or an S.

SOLD SOLD: NIB Liberty .3006 Model 77

SOLD: NIB Liberty Ruger 77 in .30 06. I'm in CA and I want $1650 for this rifle. I'm the original owner. I'd like to be able to tell you how accurate it is, but I can't because I've never fired it. Nor has anyone else, other than the person who test fired it at the factory. I bought the...

    .30 cal Blackhawk

296 works well in these revolvers. I'd advise staying away from lighter loads with Trail Boss.

That time of year...your favorite firearm purchase 2021!

I bought a Browning X-Bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor. That cartridge is everything its advocates claim it to be, and the rifle is superb.

Ruger Model 77 MK II Express Rifle

This is the 375 H&H I mentioned above. It's NIB and I haven't fired it yet.

    1903 Barrel

This is a takeoff barrel that had been set back one turn by a guy who didn’t know what he was doing. The setback altered the relationship to the wooden handguard and minimized the rear area of the 1903 rear sight. Barrel and chamber are good, but it’s not a barrel that can be used on an...

Ruger Model 77 MK II Express Rifle

I have one in .416 Rigby. It's superbly accurate with 5744 and Montana Bullet Company cast bullets. I have another one in .375 H&H that is new in the box with even better wood. I'll post a photo of it later.

Philadelphia - Filthiest Airport of all?

I agree with an earlier poster...Philly is bad, Newark is far worse. When I have to go to that part of the world, Philly always gets the nod over Newark. But neither is pleasant. New Jersey is best viewed in a rear view mirror.
