I have two Ruger Security Series Revolvers that I'd like the approximate value on. My location is considered Great Lakes Region. Both are in the box. I believe both are 1980 production Serial No. starts 156 & 158. I appreciate any comments concerning value. Thank you.

1. Ruger Security-Six "Big Grip" Stainless Steel 6" barrel .357 Magnum Catalog No. GA-36T. Condition would be Excellent! Faint cylinder line. I've never fired it myself. Bought through estate sale. Very tight & smooth action. Factory box, not original Instruction Manual, missing plastic bag revolver came in.

2. Ruger Speed-Six Blued 2 3/4" barrel Fixed Sight .357 Magnum Catalog No. SS-32. Condition would be VG+ to Excellent. Visible cylinder line. I fired less than box of ammo since owning. Very tight& smooth action. Factory box, not original Instruction Manual, plastic bag for revolver, box missing black stud that fits inside trigger guard.

Two good looking Six's. Pricing on the Six series is really dependent on what you want to know. If selling, it depends on where the buyer is. West coast, upper east coast, the pricing is going to be higher - $650-$850 and up. Down south, $350-$600, mid America $450-$600+. These guns' pricing varies so much throughout the US that to make a firm estimate is very difficult. Also, if it is a special model, say a foreign contract gun, or one made for a gov't entity, they can go for ever more depending on model and the scarcity. The boxes do add a premium also.
