    Blackhawk Flattop

I guess I have a one track mind - both my Flattops are 357 Magnum in 4 5/8" barrels - and I snagged each of them a few months apart during the Reno Gun Show. A "Ross Serial Number" BH and a 1960 made BH. The 1960 made one has since had its "new and improved" transfer bar action corrected -...

    Ruger BlackHawk Flat Top

Ordered all the parts, got an OM hammer for $49.00 and the seller threw in a trigger. Happily surprised. Waiting for the other parts to arrive. Stupid question time - Other than the hammer and cylinder bolt spring, is anything else really needed to purchase to make the change? The "safety...

    SP-101 model 05783A, a 9mm with an Alloy frame?

For CA'a "not unsafe roster" some handguns carry an A - either on the SKU or gun itself. Smith does the same. Whatever the gun is without the A it's likely the same. But you know, an aluminum SP101 is a pretty good idea.

    Ruger BlackHawk Flat Top

Thanks. Will likely get a OM trigger. Just noticed this one has tons of side to side wiggle. I don't expect rock solid but this is way more than my others with OM.

    Ruger BlackHawk Flat Top

Thanks very much all. Excellent website - Classic Firearms LLC, hadn't thought of them. I've used the same base pin on previous conversions back. FWIW, did a close look of the end and it looks like there's a threaded cap that can be unscrewed, spring & plunger lifted out.

    Ruger BlackHawk Flat Top

Just picked up a Flat Top in 357 Magnum, unfortunately it was converted. I've gotten hammer, cylinder bolt and spring. Pretty sure I'm correct in that the converted trigger can be used when the dogleg is clipped. Any suggestions on where I can track down a hand, or anything "cross fits"...

    SP/GP adjustable rear sight options?

True. I use a six o clock hold with a fair amount of daylight, that helps.

    SP/GP adjustable rear sight options?

I use an adjustable rear sight from Magnum Research. Costs a grand total of $27.00 and IIRC shipping was free, or pretty cheap. Pretty sure I had to dress down the underside of the sight to ensure the hammer didn't rub on the down stroke when the sight was fully cranked down.

Well, looks like I'm in club Fed.

I really wasn't a fan of the 327 nor of the birds head grip. This one kind of changed my mind -
