I have one in .454 and it seems to hit what I point it at, follow up shots are a little slow with full house loads.

I load the 300 gr. XTP mag over 31.4gr of H-110 for my 7.5" SRH and it is verry accurate, do start lower and work your way up as all guns are different.

I love my .454 Alaskan and would not sell it even if someone offered $2000.00, it is a great shooter. I have been thinking about having my 7.5" .454 Super Redhawk cut down to 4".

I would buy it for that, it is a good price.

Yes it can happen with factory ammo as well, I just went out with my Ruger Alaskan and it jammed on me. I had it loaded with Magtech 260gr. FMC-FLAT and my own loads of 300gr. Well I have an Alaskan :) I was just looking for something in between 2.5" and 7.5" with a little more weight up front.

Not really looking to get it ported just easier to carry and faster to draw. G-30

I have a SRH in .454 with the 7.5" barrel and am thinking about having the barrel cut down, any of you out there have this done and what length did you go to? I was thinking 4" but wanted to hear from those that have done it and how they liked the length they went with. This will be a back...

Ok here is mine again after cleaning her up and a new set of grips, not sure I like the grips but she looks better.

It is real scratched up some deep, but like I said it will be a shooter so no biggie.

Mine took three days as well to Washington state.
