    44 special load in 44mag

And my next step is to glance inside, then set a bullet on top and seat. On to next case...

GP 100 grips 70084 compact grips

I have a Pancake already for the .44 Special Bulldog that I have. Like it, so getting one for the short barrelled GP-100. A gun isn't very useful if you don't have a holster to carry it in!

GP 100 grips 70084 compact grips

I just put 'real' compact grips on my Talo GP100. Badger Boot Grips. A little handier for concealed carry if I want to go that route. No rubber on my guns. Got a Simply Rugged Pancake holster on the way.

    Vaquero 44 Special

Just one blued .44 Special New Vaquero would do me :) . And I wouldn't compromise with a 4 5/8" barrel... blued (or case colored) 5 1/2" or bust. No Stainless. That's how I keep my collection from expanding to much ;) . Ha! That said, I do have a .44 Special Sheriff as I thought I might...

    44 special load in 44mag

Easy enough to test over a chronograph. Most powders I tested didn't seem to have that problem... but there were a few I recall. And the velocities I was looking for were 850-1100, so not 'light' loads.

    44 special load in 44mag

I am sure. That's why you use a powder that uses up more volume in the case if you can. For example. 8.5gr of Unique fills the case more than adequately for a .44 Special load in .44 Mag. Same with Trail Boss for really 'light' loads. Simple....

    44 special load in 44mag

Why??? The .44 Mag case can handle loads from -600fps to +1300fps loads. My philosophy to to only use the cartridge that the gun was designed for, but load what I want to shoot. Not rocket science here :) .

    Ruger grips

I use clear plastic tubing like for fish tank air delivery. A foot of that will last awhile. Easy cut to length. Got that at ACE too.

    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

As for me, as far as looks, nothing beats the look of a Single Action Sixgun. All else pales in comparison. :) . Glad we have choices ;) .

    Vaquero 44 Special

'If' they ever come out with 5 1/2" .44 Special New Vaquero (blued or case colored), I'd order one up on the spot. Really the last one that I am interested in anymore when it comes to center fires.

    Vaquero .45 convertible?

Tis why we buy guns... to shoot 'em :D. Personally I wouldn't buy at that price, but that's just me. Also, it is a 'large' frame revolver which doesn't appeal to me for .45 Colt. And it isn't blued. But it does have the right barrel length! My case colored large frame Vaquero had really...

    Ill fitting grips.

+1 . Had to do that on one of mine to get a 'good' fit. Also, once I ordered slightly 'over size' and then used some elbow grease (sanding) to make a perfect fit the way a set of grips should.

44 Mag in Colt 1873 size?

Buy a SBH for .44 Mag. If you still want a .44 in the SAA platform, buy one that shoots .44 Special :) . Simple :) . That's how I approach the question... And they've done the proof testing as well...
