Thank you, it took a while to find this one. I too have a couple of 57's and a 657, but the 58 is a rarer bird, especially these early S-series. Got a surprisingly reasonable deal on it, too.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that Ruger must have made a run of .327 SP-101's as new ones have been popping up all over GunBroker. You can pick them up for $6xx.

Not sure I fully agree with this part. Have there been significant reports of problems in this regard?

Well, it is now six days later and they finally called to tell me that the consignor accepted my offer. Looks like I'll be headed to their shop tomorrow to pay the ransom. The other guys are correct; there are both stainless and blue GP-100's in .327 but the Blackhawks only come in stainless and the rare "Pinto". His asking price of $1000 on the Blackhawk is not at all unusual and I was lucky to get mine for a little less than that a couple of years ago. 14...

I think this one is a little older, but would still very likely cost $250 or so on eBay, used. Still waiting to hear back from the LGS.
