The iron sights are what grabbed me. I can actually see them. The dot increases this to a solid 50yd option with something to lean on.I have a hellcat but the slide isn't cut for the optics. For $569 dollars I couldn't go wrong.
Finding the dot takes practice. What I do is find the sights and there's the dot.I hope this helps my shooting because my eye sight isn't what it used to be. I have never used a optic before.
My range is outside the basement door.Yeah I found that out and have been practicing with it. Next week I'm going to the range with it.
It's absolutely transcendent!!! I can barely hit like that with a full size with irons. Seriously I would need my unlimited class IPSC piece to do much better. That was a 9 ring group in 3 seconds at 25yds with the Max9!!!Just got my optic put on today too. Hit the range and sighted in. The red dot definitely showed me what I've been doing wrong with my grip on the max 9 and I was on target better than I ever was with this firearm today. Have it in an IWB Tulster Oath holster.
Hi, I picked up a Ruger Max 9 Today and I was Checking it over, The Slide is Very Hard to pull back, and It does not like my reloads at all, I was Chambering some bullets through the gun, and the slide would hang up, I have no trouble with my S&W 9mm semi auto with my Reloads, I Think I got a Defective Gun, i have read that the slide is hard to pull on this gun, but mine is ridicules', very hard to pull back, I Would Not Recommend this gun to a Woman as Most women would not have the strength to pull the slide back, I have a Ruger 10/22 That I am Very Happy With. Taking the Gun Back To Turners ASAP, Take care everyone, ChelliePicked up a new toy today.View attachment 12378
Thank You Hvymax For the Come back, The Sig 365 is a very nice gun, but a little on the expensive side, I did get a Sig 228-380 ACP its about $300 Cheaper than the Sig 365 and I was able to operate the slide very well, and Loading the mag. was a lot easier, the Ruger max 9 Mag was a Beach to load IMHO Take care, ChellieTry a Sig 365. Basic physics. Big heavy slide with lots of travel will need less spring than a light tiny slide with barely enough travel to clear the case.
