It is an overrun of a 6,500 gun contract (this model SS-84L and a blue Service Six SDA-84L) and a for the U.S. government all of which were factory marked U.S.. Heard a long time ago that there may have only been a 200 gun overrun of both models without U.S. markings.
Note that this gun also has a Warning marked barrel. The U.S. guns do not.
