Despite some salty thread comments back and forth, we had some very amicable private discussions about shared interests and experiences. Last PM was about St Paddy's Day. No replies since then  :unsure::unsure: . A good man and a fellow veteran!!

My condolences to his friends and family. I can remember his posts as long as I've been here. We agreed on a lot or so I usually enjoyed his posts.

As stated above it is sad win a well-known member of the forum dies. I have experienced this on other forms as well. I also find it interesting to put a face to the name only because he met his fate. In his case I always figured he was the guy in his avatar.

RIP Snake45! I'll miss your posts and I hope there's endless ammo in heaven.

This seems appropriate. (Lyrics of the chorus, plus translation from German to English, below):

Dem Himmel entgegen
Den Blick geradeaus
Denn in diesem Leben
Da hält dich nichts mehr auf
Dem Himmel entgegen
Kein Weg ist zu weit
Denn in diesem Leben
Ha'm wir nicht ewig Zeit
Hier bist du frei, hier bist du frei

Ich glaub' ganz fest daran
Eines Tages - irgendwann
Reiten wir wieder zusammen
Dem Himmel entgegen

(Towards the sky
Looking straight ahead
'Cause in this life
There's nothing stopping you
Towards the sky
No way is too far
'Cause in this life
We don't have forever
Here you are free, here you are free

I firmly believe in it
One day - someday
Let's ride together again
Towards the sky)

I can see him now, standing in the Elysian Fields, shooting that big old .45
Rest in Peace my friend.
