Steve (Snake45) and I shared a common interest in World War 2 aircraft. I once sent him a book about the 361st Fighter Group of the 8th Air Force. He responded s graciously. I often went to him concerning aircraft markings, model revisions, etc. His death saddens me deeply. He led a worthwhile life and shared willingly.

It says a lot about a man to read the posts from those who knew him, and see the love and respect he achieved.
I will miss him badly. He was one of the most articulate and humorous members of this forum, and I am proud to have called him "old friend". Go with God, may we meet again someday.
