When I close the cylinder on my LCR I am able to rotate the cylinder almost a full revolution before it locks. Is this typical of the LCR or should I send it to Ruger? New and unfired 357

Mine locks up TIGHT immediatly. I just unloaded it and double checked. Mine's been fired a lot too.
Does it still do that after you dry fire it?

I have had the LCR 9mm since it first came out. One of my favorite guns to shoot and thousands of rounds. It locks up tight as well as the LCR22. It could be a number of issues, but first I would do a good cleaning. If you have a Sonic Cleaner would be great. If cleaning does not stop it, then send it off to Ruger.

I have three lcr's and they all have some cylinder movement before they lock tight. However, I haven't shot them much more than maybe 100+ rounds.
