Oh, I'm sure momma knows exactly where her baby is. We have deer come into our yard daily and we've seen fawns laying down resting and if we look around, we can see mom not too far away, browsing and looking at her baby every few minutes.This little thing it just outside my shop door in the lawn right now, hope it's mother locates it..
Smart move. I like this better than snitching them out. Good relations with neighbors are important. I'm glad none of mine are like yours, though. They have 7 dogs and they all like me. None of them are Pit Bulls.Took a bit to get in a better mood and went out and picked up the deer and took it two houses over to
the dog owners. Could hear dogs barking inside but no one came to the door so I left the mess on their front porch
and waved the special salute to the door camera.
If they're smart they'll wait a bit before talking to me.....
Not sure the DNR would approve of feeding the deer either, like some folks apparently are doing.Document and check with the DNR, the neighbor may be liable for killing wildlife out of season.
