Morning wildlife

This little thing it

Cute! We live in a golf course community. I feed the deer every night. They show up after dark, anywhere from two to nine. Sometimes when we have to let the dogs out one more time we see some laying down. Dogs don't go out until the deer leave.

Oh, I'm sure momma knows exactly where her baby is. We have deer come into our yard daily and we've seen fawns laying down resting and if we look around, we can see mom not too far away, browsing and looking at her baby every few minutes.

Document and check with the DNR, the neighbor may be liable for killing wildlife out of season.

Damn, what a shame, I agree with turd, call the state game people and see what they have to say about it, the owners should at least be visited by them to read them the riot act.

Heck, call animal control and have them pick up and euthanize the dogs. they were off leash, off property and dangerous.

Smart move. I like this better than snitching them out. Good relations with neighbors are important. I'm glad none of mine are like yours, though. They have 7 dogs and they all like me. None of them are Pit Bulls.

Shoot the dogs and take them and the fawn over and put it on their porch. I have zero tolerance for people not controlling their pets. Here in Ohio ODNR will tell you if they are chasing or killing wildlife, shoot them.

Apparently the owner of the dogs didn't like what you did. BUT,, it was his dogs,, trespassing onto YOUR property,, and causing damage. The local LEO's may well give him a pretty good warning about such activities.

However,,, now you have established evidence of prior actions on record of this person's dogs. AND the owners attitude. The fact he called the LEO's can not be denied. And you having the evidence of their actions & a report,, will be in your favor if anything else happens in the future.

Not sure the DNR would approve of feeding the deer either, like some folks apparently are doing.
