When I'm skinning,, I always cut more towards the meat,, as I don't like to cut any skin/fur. I use a Havalon knife,, which is a surgical blade knife. It takes VERY little pressure to cut stuff. So, when I'm skinning,, & pulling the fur away,, I'll often get cuts in the meat a bit. But, that way,, no fur, dirt, or other potential bacterial material can get on my meat. Besides,, that meat is gonna get cut for ground meat anyway usually.

But I get it,, it looks like he lost a knife fight. Death by 1000 cuts,,,,,,,! :D

Very scarce .357 Max T/C 12" HUNTER barrel, have not shot her in years. Never a problem & very accurate also.
My two Max- are NIB, so this is the only Max I've ever shot.

I've also been trying the Bradshaw-Martin bullet. It and the MP 359-640 bullet are proving to be the most accurate in my Maximums. The B-M is right with the 358-429 in the magnum as well, but uses a lot of case capacity in the shorter brass.

Pics look good.

Have you gone to the collectors section, and shared your serial number with coogs? He's the biggest historian on these guns!

I've considered having my FA 353's cylinder lengthened to 360 DW because 360 brass may come up for shipping at Starline and my cache of .357 magnum brass is getting long in the tooth.

Nice find! Ruger produced just shy of 15,000 completed guns and/or serialized frame before they quit shipping. They then "scrapped" around 5000 of them. Yours was probably produced in early 1983. The serial number guide on the Ruger site is kinda off. I will say that your serial number is "not found" on the Ruger serial number look up. Not unusual as I have several that come up that way. Stay with 180 grain and heavier bullets on top of slow burning powders. My go to is 4227. Top strap cutting will occur, but will abate after about a 1000 rounds. Enjoy!

4227 is my powder of choice for all of my magnum load's except 327. I really like AA9 in it. Have a couple of molds on the way. Starline needs to do a run of brass😎

Greetings from Alpine, Arizona. Are you still looking for factory 357 Max brass or cartridges? I go some out of a family estate that have been around awhile. Would you still want them? If so I could pull them out and send you a picture. If your in AZ I could get you the loaded cartridges also. I would like LC rifle cartridge cases small or large if you have them. Love to get them to someone who needs and wants them.
