[/img]I found a good load for my AR 556. 26 grains of BLC-2 powder and the 62 gr M855 bullet # 41 CCI prime. Very accurate I welded chain to a rail road spike, hung from my targets at 120 yards.

I'm hearing ya...M855 ammo shoots very well out of my 1-9" twist Mini-14 too, much better in fact, than any 55FMJ that I've tried. And ditto regarding my Son's 1-8" AR...

Kinda leads me to believe that all of the internet scuttle butt concerning the M855 bullet being inherently inaccurate has a lot more to do with 'theory' than it does with reality. .

It is a boattail design. Maybe the ones who say M855 wont shoot well has a slower twist rifle? These shoot excellent for me. The vertical reticle covers the spike at that distance. This bullet is very hard on my steel targets. Shoot for a few days, then spend a few hours welding!

Thanks Dixie Boy. I welded and repaired my targets. Ready for another Shoot and Destroy mission. Last time out, I fired 400 rounds of .357 M. .44M and 5.56 x45 rounds filled rest of containers with empty brass. I figure I shot 800 rounds total. Takes me 3 days of cleaning, size and reprime. Charge with powder and bullets. It never fails that I have 1 or 2 Rugers that shoot better than rest of them. One will stand out and shine.
