Gentlemen, For any of you with Ruger .44's, what are your cylinder throat measurements? I've got one that measures .432-.433". Is that pretty normal?

Well, you can find throat measurement can easily vary from one gun to another. Getting folks to PROPERLY measure them isn't easy. The best way is with pin gauges,, and a micrometer. Most folks don't have those tools.
Using a set of calibers isn't always as precise as we'd like to think.

Fortunately, I have a machinist friend with a full set of pin gauges, so I can get a good measurement. Just wondered if the large throats are normal for Ruger.

In my experience, the .432-.433 measurement is normal for Ruger .44s. SAAMI spec is .4325, so I would not call that measurement "large". I don't know why .44 bullets are not offered in the .432+ range by major manufacturers.
