I posted this to another forum because I'm wondering how bad things really are in different parts of the country.

Latest auction sale I've been monitoring. Started at $.01 and ended just a little more.

CCI #300 LARGE PISTOL PRIMERS 1000 PRIMERS (FULL BRICK)
$106.50

Primers are between 79.99-149.99
Depending what store you are at and what primers. The price is on its way down, they are sitting on the shelves at those prices.

One of my local stores has been selling 'em for $6-$8 per hundred (various brands), but has trouble keeping them in stock at those prices (and until recently had a limit on how many trays you could buy). I can also take a 45 minute drive and often find them by the brick, at one of the big chain stores - I think Federal primers were about $80 per 1000 on my last visit, with CCI (which I prefer) being about $15-$20 more. As noted, prices seem to be coming down, and availability is improving!

As always IMHO, FWIW, YMMV, etc., etc.

That about a Now Normal Price; just purchased 3,000 CCI500 for 79.99 per 1000, but with shipping, tax and hazmat came 100.00 per 1,000.

Hundred dollar' per 1000 has been the average for me over the last two years.

It's a hobby when I can not longer afford it, then I will go fishing. :)
