I'm working on an article for the May RENE on Ruger's Low Serial Number Program and the models it involved (Hope I have enough room in this next issue to get it in there!!).
Anyway, I'm coming up with some pretty interesting stuff but need some help from owners of one or two-digit Single-Sixes, Lightweight Single-Sixes, .357 Blackhawk flattops and .44 Blackhawk flattops. What I'm looking for is the manufacture and/or ship dates of any of these if known.

Blackhawk 44 Magnum, BKH4, serial number 33, was manufactured on January 7, 1957 and shipped on August 7, 1957 (per the RCA letter of September 1992).

Thanks Doc. You don't have any history as to who that one went to originally do you? Chances are it was shipped at the same time with the matching numbered .357 flattop, and maybe a Single-Six and/or Lightweight also.

Chet, #96 BKH3 shipped OCT of 55 and #97 shipped SEPT of 55....no idea who they went to....RR.

Chet...I don't know who received the serial number 33 revolvers. I also have Super Blackhawk serial number 33.

Chet. I have BKH-3 #163 & 164, both in their original boxes. 163 shipped on August 20, 1955 and 164 shipped November 18, 1955. I do not know who received these guns. I also have serial number 40 guns. The Standard Auto manufactured on October 6, 1949 and shipped October 18, 1949 via Railway Express in a Salt Cod Box. The Single Six was made on December 28, 1953 and shipped in August, 1957. The .357 FT was made August 26, 1955 and shipped August28, 1957. The .44 FT was made on December 27, 1956 and shipped in August, 1957. All three guns were shipped to Gopher Shooting Supply in Mn. Super Blackhawk #40 shipped in March, 1960. as a Long Frame to Gopher Supply. The Hawkeye #40 shipped in March, 1963 to Gopher Supply. Ruger No. 1 rifle is a S26M in 6mm and also shipped to Gopher.
