I have a fair collection of the 'original, big' Vaqueros in most of the calibers and configurations made. I really like them and thought that they were some of the best revolvers Ruger made.

I'm looking for one of these short barreled 44 mags but one with the 'plow handle'. I just never cared for the 'birds head' grip but to each his own.

I prefer the Bisley grip over the plow handle or the birdshead, especially with hotter loads. Having said that I did pick up a NIB birdshead Vaquero in .45C at a show during COVID just because it was a very good price and I prefer .45C over .44. I still haven't fired it but am thinking about it.
