Security Six series Herrett grip info

There's been some talk lately about grips for the Six series guns (+1). I did some digging about the Herretts and found this:

Herrett Shooting Star grips part numbers
Security/Police Service Six, 150- prefix s/n: Smooth - XRNSS, Checkered - RNSS, Skip Checkered - SRNSS
Speed Six, 150- prefix s/n: Smooth - XRNSR, Checkered - RNSR, Skip Checkered - SRNSR

Herrett Shooting Master grips part numbers
Security/Police Service Six, 151- and above s/n: Smooth - XMS, Checkered - MS, Skip Checkered - SMS

Herrett Laser Engraved grips part number (similar style as the Shooting Master)
Security?Police Service Six, 151- and above s/n: LMSS
Redhawk: LRMK

Sorry, I didn't get into the SA Rugers. But if you go to the Herretts site they show an old catalog and if you look hard enough you can pick out the letters.

Good info. I love the Herretts Shooting Stars on my Sixes and how well the fit the frames/backstrap.

I had a set for my Service Six. absorbed the 357 mag recoil quite well but didn't look right with the 2.75 barreled version. They just seemed to look huge.
