What Ser No. did CMD start better front sight?

Anyone know at what serial No. or date Ruger started an improved front sight on the 1911 CMD that doesn't break off?

I don't know the serial number but I remember reading about the front sights breaking off shortly after I bought my full sized in July of 2013. I would think the ones from 2014 on would most likely have the different front sight but I might be wrong. If you look at the serial number tool on Rugers website it would tell you what serial number range was made in what year. Not much help but that is about all I know about it.

Don't know. None of mine have broken off yet but did bother me enough to go out to shopruger.com and buy a couple new ones. They are like a $6 part.
