I might be in the market for one of these, 5.5" or 7.5"
Curious about the current production SBH .44 and BH .45 Colt Specs.
Barrel to cylinder gap
Chamber throats
Barrel constriction

Your going to have to buy one to find out ;) . They are all going to be slightly different. Of course they'll most likely be in the tolerance range that Ruger finds acceptable. Some better than others. Want perfection, then buy a Freedom Arms revolver.

I know they will not all be the same.
Just curious if most seem acceptable or way out.
Like .012 B/C gap would not be acceptable. Same for loose throats.
Tight throats can be opened up easily enough.

Due to manufacturing on an assembly line,, as noted,, you will get variables.

If looking to buy,, and the criteria you are asking about are how you judge a gun,, then take feeler gauges, pin gauges, and a good bore light when you shop.

I've seen new ones that were very, very good, and others just ok & all. Yet, I've also seen guns that appeared to be too "loose" in some areas,, yet shoot super accurately.

The final arbitrator will be the target.
