Ruger American recoil pad screws

Are the screws attaching the recoil pad to the stock of the Ruger American (Gen 1) Flat head, Phillips head, Allen head, or, Torx?

ARIC, they are a PITA Phillips. Weirdly in-between size head, not 2 not 3. When I finally got them out, I replaced with some longer plated deck type screws I had. I replaced the factory stock with a Magpul Hunter so factory stock is a light weight spare if needed.

Thanks for the reply rem58. I considered the magpul stock, but they don't have a left handed one. I'll look a pulling the pad & filling the stock with foam.
