Greetings, Gentlemen,
One of the first .44 mags. Went to the all gun shops I could find in my area, and ordered a .44 flat top in 1956. No one had ever seen one yet. While visiting Satterfield's Gun Store in Ashland, Ohio, in spring of 1957, I discovered Satterfield was a biker buddy of my dad's back in the old days.
While talking, the mailman arrived with a package. It was a Ruger .44 mag ordered for the police chief. Satterfield sold it to me with a box of remington cartridges for $96.00. Said he would order the police chief another one.
Been my favorite single action ever since. Red insert in front sight, white outline in rear sight, and african ebony grips.
