    SAW A BLUE REDHAWK

You & me both! Blue Redhawks clean up pretty good...

    Blackhawk with a bulged barrel.

Maybe it shoots as well as he can see ;)

    What's Your Dream Ruger Revolver?

You covered it for me brother. A nice set of sambars wouldn't hurt either.

    revolver mod for next season.

With the Redhawk's frame size I find the 5 1/2" factory length to be about perfect and plenty quick from a good crossdraw rig.

    New adj. sighted Bearcat

To me the beauty of the Vaquero, Bearcat etc. is that they are simple machines with fixed sights. But I am glad those of you who prefer adjustable sights now have that option with the Bearcat.

Thanks, RClark. I have to concentrate like hell on the front sight and push on the trigger until it surprises me. I often toss a shot or two in a string I got most of the creep outta this trigger, but still have a ways to go. The only way to do that is to reduce the hammer notch depth so I go...

I had about 30 rounds of old 255 SWC 45 Colts that was loaded 1200 fps, as opposed the 1050 fps I regulated this revolver for at 50 yards. Late yesterday I decided to burn them up to empty the brass. This is the last 7 of them fired at 25 yards, standing unsupported. This would all be no big...

    Me and revolvers......

Bingo. I've lost track of the fixed sight Rugers I've had to regulate over the years.

    Chronogrph

I've had a Beta Master for about 10 years now and it has been a good, reliable instrument. I'll second those who've described them as indispensable when working up handloads... don't know how I ever got along w/o one. My on;y complaint with the Chronys is that the instruction manual reads like...

Not new to me, an old friend Police six

How far off does your LCR shoot, Joe?

This method only works where the barrel and shroud are a single unit that screws into the receiver. The cylinder frame and shroud are a single aluminum unit on the LCR and pounding on it will accomplish nothing and likely damage the gun.

Good score, Gator! I carried a 4" blue 357 Speed Six as my duty gun for a couple of years in the early 80's, so I understand the charm of these guns. They are quicker and handier than the Model that replaced them. Just FWIW, Rugers with the under-lug are fairly easy to regulate for windage...

My of goal 1150 fps, with the 300 grain Hornady 45 'Mag' XTP, was not selected because I believe it takes that much velocity to kill grass-eaters. Per the manufacturer, that bullet shows an expansion range of 1100-2200 fps and I simply wanted my little Ruger to get it's toe in the door. I had a...

I've loaded/fired plenty of 325 LBT's in the 45 Colt, 100 fps faster than that XTP load. They would sail through those jugs and knock a nickle size hole through that catalog.
