Oh well! I have a sister that's a liberal. I still like her.
I think the liberals of before still loved our country, as Garner's military career shows. Modern day liberal/progressives not so much.
Tom Selleck spoke highly of him so there's that.
Very true! I certainly cannot disregard his service. Good point.

I'd forgotten about that scene! Is that where they pass the first cup around, and everyone takes one sip and then gasps and coughs out "Smoooooth!"? :LOL:

If not mistaken, he was also a pretty good race car driver and a very good pool player.
He did all of his own driving in the 1966 movie Grand Prix and held his own with the F1 drivers of the day. The directors had to calm him down because he was racing them too hard. :giggle:
It's a love story with a bunch of cars in the background but the cars are the star. It was the first time anyone had used in car cameras and overhead shots from helicopters before. It's a good watch just for the racing scenes alone.
