I want to strip my Wrangler grip frame, leaving it in the white. Anyone done this? Please assist with your ideas. Thanks, Randy.
I've read that the only way to remove properly applied Ceracote is with abrasive blasting...
Is similar to old original ruger lightweight s-six alloy, basically zamak, zink-aluminium-magnesium-and-kupfer (copper), there are varying amounts of each due to the properties desired. Also used by colt's scout, high standard, henry schmidt-to-current-heritage, the new diamondback (h.s. clone), and raven, jennings, hypoint et.al.The Wrangler grip frames are cast of a zinc alloy, and will be a dark-ish gray color once the cerakote is removed...So don't expect it to look anything like polished aluminum.
I have 2 but they both are black. I may have a stainless Super grip frame available though. I really have to go through all my stuff.Sir, I may b interested if it's stainless. Lease keep me posted.
PM sent.Sir, I am interested in one of the black ones. Please PM me at [email protected]
Looks like it worked. Somehow linking from th me forum messed up the email address.PM sent.
Edit: your EMail server kicked my message. I think you need 10 posts to do PM's via this forum- maybe that's an option.
