Ruger 77 .22magnum

Just picked this up yesterday a Ruger m77 .22 mag with a leupold 3x9, zeroed the scope today but wind picked up so back to the range tomorrow, I think this is going to be a great shooter.

Wow great score. Imagine they are tough to come by. My book says they were produced starting in 1990. I believe a 20 inch barrel? Hope it produces great groups for ya. Good ole walnut looks great.

I have this same rifle and scope, mine also has iron sights. It really loves the CCI ammo and is a lot of fun, bought mine brand new in 1995, I think

I have the .22LR, .22 mag. and .22 Hornet. The 2 rimfires have 6x Leupold scopes. I like blued steel and wood stocks. Sadly I don't get to shoot them enough.

Have the same ones as bwct but stainless laminated.

I have one as well. We were at a gunshow in Birmingham years ago and my son spotted it and came and got me. I think I paid $275 for it. I took it to Wyoming on a prairie dog hunt one year and killed dozens of them with it. Currently mine has a Green Mountain .17 HMR barrel on it, but it can be switched back pretty easily. Mine has a Bushnell rim fire 4-12x scope on it. The .17 barrel is a bit more accurate than the factory .22 mag barrel, but the .22 mag barrel is no slouch - 1 1/4" 100-yard groups are possible.

Those 77/22 magnums are excellent shooters when you get a good one. I have one in stainless w/factory laminate stock. Picked up a Green Mountain combo set of stainless "bull" 22mag and 17hmr barrels for it when they had a deal, then ordered a Richard's "electric blue" laminate bench stock. Mounted a BSA Contender 8-32x50 scope and installed a Jard 1-1/2# trigger assembly, she was quite the shooter.

Since then I changed everything back to stock, except the trigger setup and remounted a Simmons 44MAG 3-12x44 scope. Still a great shooter.

I bought a 77/22 Mag in the mid-1990s, and was really hoping it would do well with heavy bullets - turned out it favored 36 gr ammo (oh well). Like @6GUNSONLY & @Delbert above, I eventually rebarreled it to .17 HMR (with a Green Mountain "running boar" barrel), and in 17 caliber it shoots best with heavy (20 gr) bullets. They're beautiful rifles and great fun to shoot!
