Yesterday, I discovered that an almost new (not even fully broken in yet) pair of GI issue ALTAMA boots have a hole in the outer layer of leather with the goretex liner showing.
I tried contacting the company via their website comments area but no response at this time. They aren't 'old' since I acquired them after one of SIL's troopies wore them twice and didn't like the fit.
