I'm in the exact same boat almost! The only one I have left is a Super 14 AA 44mag.
AA barrels are scarce been looking for a 7-30 waters Barrel for sometime. ps
This was the second time I killed two hogs with one shot - 335gr hard cast at 1050 fps. Shoulder shot on the first hog, penetrated both shoulders. Second one was hit in the neck just before the shoulder. Not real big hogs, but the bullet didn't stop in the second one, just kept going - somewhere. Shot was about 60 yards.
I have a G2 frame, a factory 14" .223 barrel, and an OTT 14" .357 Mag, both scoped. I'm waiting on my OTT .223 barrel, and have been for a long time since Mike started working full-time outside of his shop. I love the simplicity, robust mechanical nature of the Contender. Rifle like results from an overgrown handgun.
Oh yes. I started buying them in the 70s. Have several Contenders and an Encore rifle in 30-06. Below a Contender with a .22 barrel and one with a 45LC/410 barrel.
