I was looking at cci website , you don't save much any more ? 357 for example, about 2 dollars a box ..........with brass you get a reloadable case, so what I see is aluminum these days is a last resort .
Plus at the range you can't leave it in the brass pile no advantage

I get a case of 115 grn fmj at a time from Bereli for $240 shipped. They've sold at that price for over a year.
I have thousands & thousand of 9mm brass & no longer save it so the aluminum fits my bill.

That's pretty gutsy, but it's good to have first hand knowledge that it shouldn't be reloaded. Thanks for being the guinea pig on that. :)

Is it unreliable?
Any firearm may be particular to certain brands, weights, etc. and cough/fail on others.
I have never had any issue with aluminum case ammo in 9mm in any pistol that I've shot it in (haven't used any other caliber).
All that I have seen were target ammo. I would not hesitate to shoot or use it but I've never bought aluminum cased ammo in bulk. I would not use it for SD on purpose.
For new types and brands, I usually buy a box and see how it performs before buying several box or in bulk. Testing is a good thing to do, IMHO. I have purchased ammo in bulk and found that one of my pistols didn't like while the others did. I just don't shoot it in that pistol.

Aluminum 9 mm has been very reliable for me...I use it only for range/practice.
I like that it is lightweight..makes carrying 200 rounds much easier...
I have a stash of brass 9 that I keep for long term storage...

Just think, after 20 or 25 boxes you have enough to buy another box. 👍🇺🇲

4 to 5 thousand rounds through my Sig 365, Glock 19, Ruger SR9c & Walther PPS.M2.
The only hiccup was with the Walther. It just didn't care for aluminum. I'm thinking it has tighter tolerance and the aluminum case expanded too quickly.

Shot it in Sig 365, Glock 19, Ruger Sr9c, S&W PC Shield, etc. The only gun that didn't like it was a Walther PPS M2.

Back about 30 years ago our Local Fred Meyers store quit selling ammo and put their remaining stock on sale. I bought 6 boxes of 50 round CCI aluminum cased 357 mag ammo for $6.99 a box. That's all they had or I would have bought more. Still have two boxes of it.

That's funny, I don't think I've ever seen CCI 357 ammo over here in CA. Even 35 years ago. Forget seeing it now.....Hey Chevy, since you aren't using it, you could send those 2 boxes my way ?? 😊

I don't shoot 357 very often, but this is a election year. I am from Napa Calif, but moved out of Calif 43 years ago.

I guess you saw the writing on the wall ?? Back then it was still decent. I moved here in Jan. 86. Coming from Mass. This was pretty good !! Now it is like or maybe worse than Mass. Yeah, I sure know how to pick 'em. Napa is nice but has changed a bit too as you probably already know...

Growing up, Napa was a nice old town. Then they ran bulldozers thru lots of town history and now it's just a big tourist trap.

I hope to visit friends and family there again, but could never afford to live there again. Also I could not bring a lot of my toys with me.

About an hour or so I was talking to a nice guy in Oklahoma who was not bragging at all, but was just saying how it was, living there with a pro 2A citizenry and govt. Anyone can open carry or can conceal, walk in and buy what you want, and they have no problems to speak of.....all of course is the complete opposite of our Golden State !!
