Brownells is running an ad the gets them to .07...but shipping will certainly bring them up
When I buy, I purchase 3 boxes (.22 LR : Federal AutoMatch :40grain : LRN) that sell for $21.16 per box with a 325 count per box. The total price with tax for the 3 boxes is $68.56 which comes out to $0.07 a round. So far the price has not changed since I bought my first 3 boxes back in March of this year.
I was just on ammo seek. Nothing under 6.4 cent a round plus shipping. Brings it back to .08 cents a roundAround 4-5 cents on Ammoseek
Sa ammo is $49.99 for 500. CCI is $27.99 per 300.
Aguila is one of the largest manufactures in the World. I shoot ammo from all over the world. Franchi, Seller & Belloit, Norma, Lapua, Eley, Wolf, Pritzi Partisan and all sorts of Mil Spec. I just want it to go bang.I prefer not to buy anything made in Mexico Especially Ammo.
I try and buy only made in USA ammo (most everything actually), and willingly pay extra for it. But unfortunately the last few boxes of .30 Carbine and some quality target .22 LR was import.I prefer not to buy anything made in Mexico Especially Ammo.
its very hard anymore with a global economy, even Brands we think are made here get components etc from overseas etc.I try and buy only made in USA ammo (most everything actually), and willingly pay extra for it. Yup... A lot of that has to do with stricter EPA copper and lead smelting regulations . I've noticed some ammo boxes have "assembled in USA" instead of made in USA.its very hard anymore with a global economy, even Brands we think are made here get components etc from overseas etc.
In the early/mid-2000s, I noticed that the 500-round bulk packs of Federal .22 were selling at Walmart for, I think, $9.97, and realized that at @ 2c per shot, that's about what I had paid 25-30 years before! What else can you say THAT about?
